Based in Desulo, in the heart of Sardinia, we make seafood appetizers packaged with artisanal care and state-of-the-art technology for catering and gastronomy.

Family tradition, handcrafted innovation

Laltamarea was founded in 1994 as a family-run artisan workshop specializing in the production of packaged seafood appetizers. Since then, we have held firm to our philosophy: transforming selected raw materials into superior quality products, guaranteeing food safety and respect for tradition.
Our laboratory, located in Desulo, is equipped with automated machinery for cutting, steaming and thermal blasting.
Each stage is designed to preserve the organoleptic properties of the raw materials, without the addition of preservatives.

We produce for professional caterers, pizzerias and delis, but with an increasing focus on the end customer as well.

OUR PRODUCTS, "Ready-made appetizers, real flavors."

Our line of seafood appetizers is made from selected ingredients, steamed and marinated in brine with wine vinegar and salt. After about 8 hours of processing, the products are packed with the addition of sunflower seed oil.
No preservatives, just genuineness.

Perfect as an elegant appetizer or unique summer dish

Warm salad of octopus, potatoes and parsley

Recommended product “Octopus-only appetizer” Ingredients for 4 persons:
  • 300 g of Laltamarea octopus appetizer
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • Fresh parsley to taste.
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
Preparation
  1. Boil potatoes with skin on in salted water. Peel them and cut them into chunks.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the warm potatoes with the drained octopus starter.
  3. Season with evo oil, lemon juice, pepper and plenty of chopped parsley.
  4. Serve warm or at room temperature.
A creative idea for pizzerias and clubs: quick, light, impressive.

"High Tide" gourmet pizza

Recommended product “Seafood Fantasy (with surimi)” Ingredients for 1 pizza:
  • 1 pizza base
  • 150 g of Laltamarea seafood fantasy
  • Mozzarella fiordilatte
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Oregano, evo oil
  • Fresh arugula (optional)
Preparation:
  1. Roll out pizza base and add mozzarella cheese and halved cherry tomatoes.
  2. Bake at 220°C until golden brown.
  3. On leaving the oven, add the well-drained seafood fantasy.
  4. Complete with oregano, a drizzle of evo oil and raw arugula.
Ideal for buffets, caterers or refined aperitifs.

Finger food cups with seafood appetizer and cream of chickpea soup

Recommended product “Seafood appetizer (without surimi)”

Ingredients for 6 shot glasses:

  • 200 g of Laltamarea seafood appetizer
  • 250 g boiled chickpeas
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon tahina (optional)
  • Olive oil, lemon, salt, pepper
  • Sweet paprika for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Blend chickpeas with garlic, tahina, lemon juice, evo oil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Distribute the cream in finger food cups.
  3. Top with one or two teaspoons of well-drained seafood starter.
  4. Sprinkle with sweet paprika and serve with croutons.
